Faith International Adoptions has tried to maintain very close ties with our friends and colleagues in China. One fantastic reward of these close relationships has been the opportunity for many of our families' children and their classmates here in the States to undertake correspondence with our colleagues' children and their classmates in China. Our pen pal program has been rewarding to us, our friends in China, and most importantly to the kids on both sides who are learning to think outside of their respective borders and see the beauties of both countries through the language of their new friends. Below are some of the wonderful letters and pictures we have received recently.

Dear Kristen, Hello!
I am very happy to have received your letter, and happy that I am able to be your pen-pal. I am a lively and happy little girl. I am nine years old and my name is Zhang Yanning. I am from Nanjing , and I go to Beijing East Street school where I am a third-grade student, in class 5. I am the only girl in my house, and I am my parent's beloved daughter. My dad is a government employee, and my mother is an animated cartoon maker. I like music and painting. My hope is that after I get older I can be an outstanding teacher.
I hope we can start corresponding often. You can start telling me all about American things and ideas, and I can start telling you all about Chinese things and ideas. That way we can become really good friends!
