In an effort to provide a better life for children living in social welfare institutions around the world, Faith International Adoptions, and many of our families, have continuously provided charitable assistance over the course of the last decade in the form of food donations, water purification systems, educational materials, medical supplies, medical teams to provide aid in poverty stricken areas, school clothing, school supplies, sports equipment, washer and dryer units, heating systems, water heating systems, construction of dormitories and the improvement of living facilities in dozens of orphanages.
An unfortunate reality of international adoption is that we can only help connect a fraction of the children in orphanages with loving and caring parents. Therefore, Faith International and Faith families continue to provide direct assistance to orphanages around the world. A brief sampling of our work over the years is described below. If you would be interested in providing assistance, please see the links on this page. |

The Baker family, with their daughter leading the way, raised over a thousand dollarsgoing to the Nanfeng orphanage to buy
1 large water heater, 2 smaller portable heaters which can be used in baby rooms throughout the orphanage for bathing, dozens of blankets, sweaters and boxes of clothing. We appreciate her dedication to the children of Nanfeng! |

In the immediate aftermath of the 2004 tsunami, Faith raised $50,000 towards orphan relief in Sri Lanka. We also sent a team of 14 medical personnel and water purification specialists to the country. The medical team saw over 1,000 patients and the water team installed 7 water purification systems in orphanages on the hard hit eastern and southern coasts. To learn more, click here.

Thanks to a generous donation by the Fitz family, along with assistance from Faith's Director, we purchased a water purification system to be installed in one of the many Chinese orphanages we assist. While in China in December, 2004, we were fortunate enough to install the system in the Yiyang orphanage, in Hunan Province.
|
Pictured here are some of the precious recipients of this new purification system. Easy to install, and even easier to clean and maintain, the system was a hit with all the orphanage staff and we even had a water drinking party to celebrate the installation.
|
While in Nepal in October 2004, we were able to install a UV water purification system at the orphanage we work directly with. Every year in Nepal, some 44,000 children under the age of five die from waterborne diseases. This is our small attempt to ensure a basic right and necessity for the amazing children of this orphanage. At present, the system can provide clean water for up to 500 children.
|
We were also able to provide other, much needed, gifts along with toys and presents for the children living in the orphanage and computer equipment for the orphanage staff. However, the most important issue was to install the purification system. Pictured here is the first drink by Faith and orphanage staff members.

While in Panama in September 2004, Faith's Director purchased a full truckload of food items for the children in the Malambo Orphanage. He was also able to purchase new computers, phones, and palm pilots for the orphanage staff. Pictured are girls who live in the orphanage.

John, our Director, traveled to Vietnam in the summer of 2004 to assess the current situation concerning the closure of adoptions from that country and to visit all our friends and co-workers at various orphanages. During his stay, he purchased food items for three full orphanages. This is one of many of the deliveries. |
CCAA has recently initiated a new program, the Tomorrow Plan. This program is a huge undertaking designed to provide operations to all handicapped orphans in China in the next three years. Because of the nature and complexity of this goal, and because of our fondness for all our special needs children, Faith has donated $25,000 to this program and we will continue to fundraise for more in the future. We also purchased hundreds of items of clothing for an educational facility for orphan boys in Western Nepal. Once the film is developed I will post pictures. |
A local women's group raised funds for the Fengcheng orphanage in Jiangxi Province, China. Our director matched their funds and we purchased months of formula for the 220 children at the orphanage. |
Many of our families, along with our staff, raised donations for the Suichuan orphanage in Jiangxi Province, China. We purchased much needed sterilization units and air condition units for the new orphanage.
